Seek His Truth
God is true. Take some time today for Lectio Divina. Read this Gospel the first time, taking in what is happening. The second time, read through and pick out one or two phrases that stand out to you and hold them in your heart. The third time, read through and consider how God is speaking to you through this reading. Then take some time to pray and reflect.
Today's Gospel states: 'He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth belongs to the earth, and of the earth he speaks; he who comes from heaven is above all. He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony; he who receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true. For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for it is not by measure that he gives the Spirit; the Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him' (John 3:31-36).
God speaks to us in ways that we cannot see or hear, and it's important that we believe and help others to believe even though we cannot necessarily see God in front of us physically. Truth comes through believing, not seeing. How is God speaking His truth to you?
Today we pray:
Thanks You for speaking Your truth to me. Help me to discern Your will and seek You in my everyday, every minute, every second of this life. I pray in Your most holy name, Amen.
