Have Confidence in What You Believe

How confident are you? Do you face every challenge that comes your way with open arms, or turn away when things get tough? It takes a courageous and confident person to admit where they've gone wrong, to step down so that other people may have the chance to rise to the challenge, to speak out about what you believe in even when you know that your words may reach no one. We need to habe courage to face the world and be confident that God is guiding us along the way, even if we're so scared that we're shaking like crazy. Think about what Jesus must have felt as he took up the Cross. He was probably scared, but he was confident of that this was God's will and that good would come from his act of sacrificial love. Do you have confidence to face the world?

Today's Gospel states:'While he was thus speaking to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, "My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live." And Jesus rose and followed him, with his disciples. And behold, a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment; for she said to herself, "If I only touch his garment, I shall be made well." Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well. And when Jesus came to the ruler's house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd making a tumult, he said, "Depart; for the girl is not dead but sleeping." And they laughed at him. But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. And the report of this went through all that district' (Matthew 9:18-26).

Today's reading talks about how having faith will help you make the best of everything in your life, even to the point of bringing healing. If we are confident and courageous, having faith that God's will is being done through us, then we're living up to our true potential. It can be tough and it is never easy to rise up when you feel alone. Remember to be confident and know that God is by your side until the end of time. Take some time to pray and ask God to help you have confidence in every action you take.

Today we pray:

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for showing me that You are always with me Lord. Help me to be confident and be courageous in all that I do, especially through my most challenging moments.

I pray in Your most holy name, Amen.
