Live a Worthy Life
Are you living a worthy life? At this point, what would people say about you when talking to others? We're all constantly trying to make a name for ourselves. To be the best and brightest student, friend, spouse. To be the one who's always there to count on. Of everything you want to be remembered for some day, what are the things that matter most, the moments, personality traits that will stick out to those around you? God calls us to live lives worthy of love, to cherish the fact that we are each created in His image and likeness and be seen as such by how we move other people in the world. How do you want to be remembered?
Today's Reading states: 'I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness, with patience, forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all. Today's reading talks about living a worthy life' (Ephesians 4:1-6).
Today's reading talks about how we need to live a worthy life. We need to live in hope, faith, patience and live as disciples in our lives. Through baptism, God ignites us by the power if the Holy Spirit, to take action and evangelize. Through the gifts of the Spirit, we become people of faith, of love, of hope for the world. In addition, God makes each and every one of us unique, with special gifts and talents. For me, it's a desire to listen to and help others, guided by my love of music and my faith. How is God using you to make a change in the world? Take some time to ask God to help you live a worthy life.
Today we pray:
Thank You for making me in Your very image and likeness, to have a chance to change the world. Help guide me to live a worthy life, one that leaves an impact of Your love in the hearts of those in need of it most.
I pray this in Your most holy name, Amen.
